Blink and you miss it (Pointless consumerist post)

It's December 8th already. Christmas is coming.

I haven't written a list of the gifts I need to buy. I've not even thought about Christmas, beyond booking my tickets home. I don't know what my Christmas budget is. (My MS Money accounts are over a month out of date--I don't know what my budget is anymore.)

I made it through today without panicking about exams, but having just realized this, there's a horrible feeling in my stomach. I'm OK with law school and behind on life.

The Barnes & Noble link to the right is there because they deliver faster than Amazon, so if I need to have gifts delivered I can try there. I've spent the last few minutes thinking about what I need to do for the holiday period.

And right now, I'm promising myself that however things go on Thursday, on Friday morning I'm going Christmas shopping.

Personally the materialism of the season has got me down . . . . and I am especially creeped out by the gleam of avarice that appears in the eyes of young'n's these days. what happened to the joy and wonder of Xmas? Anyway - you dear should consider giving a $10 donation to the Dean campaing in honor of ten of your favorite friends. That is, $10 each. cheaper than shopping anyplace other than the dollar store and yet . . . . more likely to change the world, dontcha think? Also Heifer International allows you to donate part of a pig or a tree or a beehive or various other agricultural products in someone's name. All this can be done online. see, with my help, you could be done. Think about it.
